Cap nut is a nut that covers the threaded part both decoratively and to protect the thread. DIN 1587 can "cover" longer parts of the threaded part of a bolt or screw.
Scope DIN 1587 is used on playgrounds, sports equipment, etc.
Material high-strength structural alloy steel. High strength class 6 allows the use of nuts with high-load connections.
Coating: black zinc cloth. Main characteristics of this coating:
- Organic black topcoat;
- Excellent corrosion protection;
- High hiding power on silver and black base coatings;
- Attractive uniform black appearance;
- Very good chemical resistance; increased UV resistance;
- Excellent adhesion, i.e. the coating does not peel, crack or flake even under mechanical stress or chemical attack;
- Integrated lubricant component for controlled friction characteristics;
- No hydrogen embrittlement;
- Excellent corrosion resistance in NSST and cyclic corrosion tests.
