DIN 7999 High-strength structural bolt with a hexagonal head

Structural bolts are fasteners used to connect various parts in construction, mechanical engineering, and other industries. They come in various shapes and sizes, but their main function is to ensure a strong and secure connection between parts.
High-strength structural fasteners require the use of a high-strength bolt (e.g., DIN 6914 or EN 14399) in combination with a high-strength nut (DIN 6915, EN 14399) and two high-strength washers (DIN 6916, EN 14399). One high-strength washer should be placed on the bolt side, the other on the nut side.
Using a complete structural fastener set (high-strength bolt, nut, and two washers) increases the stability of the connection: strength is achieved through friction between the connecting surfaces. In order for the structural fastener to meet the stated strength requirement, the connection must withstand the force not on shear (bolt shear), but on the friction of the surfaces. To do this, ensure that the bolts are securely tightened and prepare the surfaces to be joined by the structural fastener in advance.
Structural bolts are made exclusively from high-strength structural alloy steel, strength class 10.9, which allows the bolts to be used in high-load connections.
Structural bolts are hot-dip galvanized. Hot-dip galvanizing protects against corrosion if the fasteners are to be used in aggressive environments.
