Fastenings for agricultural machinery: ploughshare, plow and cultivator bolts and nuts
Although agricultural engineering is considered to be a branch of mechanical engineering, the problems to be solved by agricultural support are quite specific. Bolts, nuts, screws and other metal products for agricultural machinery are used in conditions of high mechanical loads, regular exposure to moisture and fuels and lubricants, as well as in the mode of high and regular vibration.
Field work and tillage in one way or another affect the reliability of agricultural fortification. Therefore, for the needs of agricultural machinery, manufacturers produce high-strength bolts and nuts, reliably protected not only from corrosion but also from accidental untwisting.
Of course, detachable threaded agricultural attachment in any case remains the most convenient and reliable means of connecting parts and mechanisms of agricultural machinery. But traditional high-strength hex bolts, such as universal bolt DIN 931, analog of ISO 4014, and bolt DIN 933, analog of ISO 4017 (on sale these agricultural bolts can be found under the nomenclature of GOST 7798-70 and GOST 7805-70), often replaced by narrowly specialized agricultural products. These are the so-called ploughshare, plow, cultivator, as well as noria, conveyor, elevator and bucket bolts.
Where are hardware used for agricultural machinery?
Fasteners for agricultural machinery are part of machines and mechanisms used for the following purposes:
-
pre-sowing tillage - loosening, plowing, harrowing;
-
mechanized planting and sowing of crops;
-
care for seedlings and young plants - cultivation, hilling, weeding, spraying, pruning;
-
watering, irrigation and fertilization of plants;
-
harvesting and processing of various crops with the use of combines, mowers, reapers, grain cleaners, grain loaders, etc.
Agricultural fortifications are also used in special equipment to care for specific cultivated plants - sugar beets, flax, cotton, grapes. Forage harvesters, machine-tractor units for feed processing and even special equipment for animal care - drinking troughs, feeders, milking machines and hoof cleaners - are used for livestock needs. Trenchers and drainers are used to develop virgin areas with a high groundwater level, the work of which also does not do without reliable agricultural support.
Main bolts for agricultural machinery
Such metal products are most widely used as fastenings for agricultural machinery.
-
Bolt DIN 608 (analog of GOST 7786-81) from steel without covering. This agricultural metal product has a secret head and a low square head, which allows you to seamlessly fix the bolt without the risk of accidental untwisting. The popular names of the agricultural bolt DIN 608 - ploughshare, plow or cultivator - clearly indicate the main field of application of the metal product. This is the most commonly used attachment bolt.
-
The DIN 15237 bolt (analog of GOST 7811-7074) from simple or stainless steel without covering is called noriya, and also conveyor, elevator or bucket. It is used to attach nori buckets to the conveyor (these are buckets for lifting bulk materials). In agriculture, the term "noria" usually refers to the elevator. The head of the DIN 15237 agricultural bolt has a specific shape: the flat hemisphere on the reverse side is equipped with two spikes that protect the agricultural metal product from scrolling.
-
DIN 603 bolt (analog of GOST 7802-81) made of stainless or galvanized steel is often used as a fastener for combines and plows (although the popular names "furniture bolt" and "road bolt" indicate other areas of operation of this agricultural product). It has a large semicircular head and a square headrest, which provides inconspicuous fastening and protection against scrolling.
-
The DIN 604 bolt (analog of GOST 7785-81) from uncoated steel also has a secret head and a special mustache. It is convenient to fix the level with the mounting plane.
-
The DIN 607 bolt (analog of GOST 7801-81) from uncoated steel differs from the previous standard by the presence of a semicircular, not a countersunk head. Protection against scrolling of this bolt for agricultural machinery also provides a special mustache.
Nuts and washers for agricultural machinery
In addition to the main bolts for agricultural machinery to agricultural fasteners include the following universal hardware.
-
Nut DIN 934, analog of GOST 5915-70 and GOST 15526-70.
-
Spring washer DIN 127, analog of GOST 6402-70 (grover).
-
Washer DIN 125, analog of GOST 11371-78.
- Washer DIN 433, analog of GOST 10450-78 (reduced).
