In modern shipbuilding and vessel construction, a wide range of stainless steel components is used to secure and fasten rigging, various fixtures, mechanisms, and structural elements. Collectively, these are known as "ship fittings" (or *delnye veshchi* in Russian/Ukrainian terminology)—essentially the hardware and equipment used on yachts, ships, and other vessels.
