A cap nut is a nut that covers the threaded part both decoratively and for the purpose of protecting the thread. Hexagonal nut DIN 986 with a closed cap on one side and a non-metallic liner (nylon insert) underneath, which, when clamped with a wrench, compresses the thread and creates a vibration-resistant and self-losening connection. The closed cap prevents contaminants from entering the threaded connection and protects against moisture and dust.
Area of application: DIN 986 is used in playgrounds, sports equipment, etc.
Material of manufacture: high-strength structural alloy steel.
Coating: Zinc protects against corrosion if the fastener is to be used in aggressive environments.
