Technical characteristics
A cylindrical head bolt is a fastener consisting of a metal stud with an incomplete metric thread and a cylindrical head with an INBUS (hexagonal) slot.
The DIN 7984 bolt is used for connecting and fastening parts and structures in construction and mechanical engineering.
The material of manufacture is high-strength structural alloy steel. The high strength class 8.8 allows the bolts to be used in highly loaded connections.
Coating: black zinc plating.
Main characteristics of this coating:
- Organic black topcoat;
- Excellent corrosion protection;
- High hiding power on silver and black base coatings;
- Attractive uniform black appearance;
- Very good chemical resistance; increased UV resistance;
- Excellent adhesion, i.e. the coating does not peel, crack or flake even under mechanical stress or chemical attack;
- Built-in lubricant component for controlled friction characteristics;
- No hydrogen embrittlement;
- Excellent corrosion resistance in NSST and cyclic corrosion tests.
