Technical characteristics
A self-contracting nut is a nut used in connection elements that are constantly exposed to dynamic loads, especially vibration, which can cause loosening. The contouring in DIN 982 is accomplished by a nylon ring in which the thread is cut during tightening.
DIN 982 is used in mechanical engineering, construction, warehouse equipment, lifting equipment, agricultural machinery, tools, etc.
Material of manufacture: stainless steel.
Coating: Delta-MKS. Delta-MKS protective dispersed zinc anti-corrosion coating provides highly effective cathodic corrosion protection.
