Technical characteristics
A flanged nut is a fastener that creates a detachable threaded connection with an increased clamping area, which allows both to redistribute pressure on the material and to create a larger friction spot to prevent loosening and use nuts when fastening parts on grooves along which the part can move. DIN 6923 has a standard height for these types of nuts, a wider flange than 6331, but thinner, and can have a flat surface and serrated notch to prevent loosening.
Area of use: DIN 6923 is used in industrial construction, machine tool and instrument making, etc.
Material: high-strength structural alloy steel. The high strength class 8 allows the nuts to be used in heavy-duty connections.
Coating: Zinc plate protects against corrosion if the fasteners are to be used in aggressive environments.
Equivalents: GOST P 50592-93, ISO 4161, ISO 10663.
