Technical characteristics
A flanged toothed nut is a fastener that creates a split threaded connection with an increased contact area, which allows for both redistributing pressure on the material and creating a larger friction patch to prevent loosening and is used when fastening parts to grooves along which the part can move. DIN 6923 has a standard height dimension for these types of nuts, a wider flange than 6331, but thinner, and one that can have a flat surface and a serrated notch to prevent unwinding.
Application: DIN 6923 is used in industrial construction, machine tool and instrumentation, etc.
Material of manufacture: steel.
Coating: Zinc protects against corrosion if the fastener is to be used in aggressive environments.
Analogs: ISO 4161, ISO 10663, EN 14218, EN 1661, PN 82168, GOST P 50592-93.
