Technical characteristics
A flanged nut is a fastener that creates a detachable threaded connection with an increased contact area, which allows for both redistribution of pressure on the material and the creation of a larger friction patch to prevent loosening and is used when securing parts to grooves along which the part can move. DIN 6927 is best used on heated components where a conventional polyamide ring would break down due to temperature.
Area of application: DIN 6927 is used in industrial construction, machine tool and instrumentation, etc.
Material of manufacture: high-strength structural alloy steel.
Coating: Zinc cladding protects against corrosion if the fastener is to be used in aggressive environments.
