The washer is a reinforced fastener that, compared to other types of washers, has an increased thickness, which, together with the high-strength steel from which it is made, allows it to be used under conditions of high static and dynamic loads in such types of equipment as presses and lifting mechanisms or for clamping devices.

DIN 7989-2 is intended for aluminum structures. Since aluminum is a softer material, steel alloys with lower hardness are used for these washers, which helps to avoid damage to aluminum parts. In addition, special surface treatments can be applied to these washers to prevent reactions between the materials. Due to these specific material and processing requirements, DIN 7989-2 may be more expensive than DIN 7989-1.

Applications: aerospace industry, construction and installation of aluminum structures, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering.

Material of manufacture: steel.

Coating Uncoated.
