DIN 186 T-bolt is a bolt with a square head and a metric thread along the entire length of the stud. This fastener is a rather narrow-profile fastener and is mainly used in instrumentation. The peculiarity of this fastener is the T-shaped rectangular head, the rod is additionally equipped with a square head to prevent unwinding.
Strength class DIN 186
The strength class of a DIN 186 bolt is the maximum applied force at which the bolt begins to fracture. DIN 186 bolts are available in strength classes 4.6 and 8.8. From strength class 8.8, the bolt is considered high-strength. High-strength DIN 186 should only be purchased from trusted suppliers. It is made of alloy steel and such bolts are used for critical projects where, in addition to high loads and static loads, the DIN 186 bolt is subjected to constant vibration.

- High-strength fasteners - fasteners made of high-strength structural alloy steel
- Stainless steel fasteners - fasteners made of stainless steel.
Materials for the manufacture of DIN 186 bolts
DIN 186 bolts are available in the following materials:
- Steel in strength classes 4.6 and 8.8, which can be optionally coated with zinc. Zinc (Plated) protects against corrosion if the fastener is to be used in aggressive environments
- Stainless steel grades A2 and A4. Allows the use of DIN 186 at significant temperature fluctuations and in aggressive and humid environments.
