Technical characteristics
A fine-pitch self-locking nut is a nut used in connection elements that are constantly exposed to dynamic loads, especially vibration, which can cause loosening. Locking in DIN 980 is achieved by the design of the hole: it can be a narrowed edge of the hole or a special metal retaining ring, depending on the shape. When used in high temperature environments, it is better to choose DIN 980.
Area of application DIN 980 is used in mechanical engineering, construction, warehouse equipment, lifting equipment, agricultural machinery, tools, etc.
The material of manufacture is high-strength structural alloy steel. The high strength class of 10 allows the nuts to be used in high-load connections.
Coating: Delta-MKS is a protective dispersed zinc anti-corrosion coating that provides highly effective cathodic protection against corrosion.
Common name: Lock nut.
