A self-contracting nut is a nut used in connection elements that are constantly exposed to dynamic loads, especially vibration, which can cause loosening. Contouring in DIN 980 is achieved due to the design of the hole: it can be a narrowed edge of the hole, or a special metal locking ring, depending on the shape. When used in high temperature areas, it is better to choose DIN 980.

Material of manufacture: high-strength structural alloy steel. The high strength class 8 allows the use of nuts in highly loaded connections.

Coating: zinc-nickel black is a deep black coating, so its presence on the product is invisible, and its advantage is additional corrosion resistance.
