Technical characteristics
A self-locking nut is a nut used in connection elements that are constantly exposed to dynamic loads, especially vibration, which can cause loosening. Locking in DIN 985 is achieved by a nylon ring in which a thread is cut when tightened.
Area of application DIN 985 is used in mechanical engineering, construction, warehouse equipment, lifting equipment, agricultural machinery, tools, etc.
