Nut with flange is a fastener that creates a detachable threaded connection with an increased clamping area, which allows you to simultaneously redistribute the pressure on the material, and create a larger friction spot to prevent unscrewing and use nuts when fixing parts on the grooves along which this part can move . DIN 74361 is often called a wheel nut because it is most often used in mechanical engineering to fasten wheels. It has three shapes: with a conical flange (shape A), which allows you to center the parts on the axis on which this nut is screwed, due to the fact that the cone enters the hole of the wheel disk and thus "exposes" the hole evenly relative to the bolt axis; with ordinary flange similar to DIN 6331 (form B); and with a flange that does not have a rigid connection to the nut housing, but is an integral part of it and rotates relative to it, similar to the principle in DIN 9085 (form H).

Scope DIN 6927 is used in industrial construction, machine tool and instrument making, etc.
