Enlarged Washer A fastener that has the appearance of a flat disk with a smooth cylindrical hole in the middle, the diameter of which is larger than the diameter of the metric product with which it is used. The special feature of this washer, in contrast to DIN 9021 and DIN 440, is that with one inner diameter, such a washer can have a wide range of outer diameters, which are increased in 5 mm increments. For example, with an internal diameter of 8.4 mm, the external can be 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 50 mm., with a constant thickness. Like any wide washer, it is used where it is necessary to reduce the pressure on the surface, or to increase the clamping area on the joints.
Scope DIN 9054 is used in various industries, including the automotive industry, to reduce the stress level when installing bolts and nuts and prevent deformation.
Material high-strength structural alloy steel.
Coating Zinc (Plated) protects against corrosion if fasteners are intended to be used in aggressive environments.
Analogs ART 88104. AN 81, WS 9240
