The S-Trebol version of the rivet provides additional resistance to both breakage and shear, and can be used in oversized holes as its expansion is adjustable. It also has a neoprene ring gasket that provides an excellent seal.
The flat shoulder type of rivet is used where no additional outrigger or recessed joint is required, and they can be useful where it is necessary for the rivet not to protrude beyond the surfaces of the materials being joined.
Applications include the plastics industry, woodworking industry, automotive, RVs, prefabricated homes.
