A self-tapping screw is a fastener with a thread along the entire length of the shaft, which cuts its own thread in the material during screwing. It is used to connect metal, wood, plastic, and other materials without pre-cutting the thread.
Torx + PIN is an anti-vandal type of slot (drive) for self-tapping screws and screws.
- TORX is a star-shaped slot with 6 rays that provides reliable torque transmission.
- PIN is a metal pin in the center of the slot that blocks the use of a conventional TORX bit.
A half-round head is a type of self-tapping screw head with a convex, rounded shape that protrudes above the surface of the material after installation.
