How it works
The DIN 1480 lanyard is a fairly simple fastener, the principle of its operation can be compared to conventional bolts with elongated rods, but instead of a standard head, they have a ring or hook. The lanyard ring must be securely attached to the support base. A loop of steel cable or chain is put on the hook, and the other end is simply fixed to the rigging.
