A DIN 3093 clamp is a seamless sleeve or cylinder with thickened walls. In cross-section, the sleeve has an oval shape equal to two diameters of a metal cable of the appropriate size. To form a cable loop using an aluminum crimping clamp, the end of the cable must be pulled through so that the end extends at least 2 cable diameters out of the clamp.
