Overview
DIN 316 is a fastener that has an external thread and a curved head, which allows it to be used without tools, making it much easier to work with fasteners. However, such screws do not allow for high tightening forces and are not designed for high mechanical loads.

Wing screws are made of the following materials:
- Steel, which is additionally coated with zinc
- Stainless steel grades A2 and A4 - the material does not require additional coating
Application range of DIN 316 screws
DIN 316 wing screws are most widely used in mechanical engineering, where they are used to create collapsible connections of components and mechanisms. Since they are not designed to be tightened to a high degree, they are not used in critical components that require a reliable connection.
They can also be used in other industrial areas, including machine tool and instrumentation.
