Overview
DIN 653 is a knurled clamping screw. It is used for connecting structures that are to be disconnected in the future. Due to the large head size, DIN 653 screws are comfortable enough for installation and do not spoil the appearance of the product. Thanks to the reduced head height, it only slightly rises above the surface of the parts to be joined.

DIN 653 screws are made of the following materials:
- Steel, which can optionally be coated with zinc. Zinc (Plated) protects against corrosion if the fastener is to be used in aggressive environments
- Stainless steel, grade A1. Allows the use of fasteners at significant temperature changes and in aggressive and humid environments.
Areas of application for DIN 653 screws
The DIN 653 screw is widely used in instrumentation. This fastener is used for fixing thin walls of instruments and housings, and is also used to fix tripods at a certain level. The screws are quick to turn in and out thanks to the short threaded part. They can also be used in machine tool construction, mechanical engineering, and many other industrial sectors.
