ISO 12126 is a fastener that does not require the use of a spring or flat washer when assembling detachable connections in a structure. The flange can be manufactured with or without notches. The presence of notches on the flange prevents spontaneous unwinding of the fastener in the mounting hole when it is subjected to dynamic loads. The increased attachment area on the flange side reduces the pressure on the attached part.

Strength class ISO 12126

The strength class of a nut is the maximum applied force that causes the nut to fracture. The ISO 12126 standard is only available in high-strength steel grades 8 and 10.

ISO 12126 fastener group

ISO 12126 is made of high-strength steel and belongs to the high-strength fastener group.

Materials of manufacture:

ISO 12126 is available in the following materials:

- Steel, which can optionally be coated with hot-dip galvanized and ordinary zinc

Areas of application for ISO 12126

ISO 12126 is best used on heated elements where a conventional polyamide ring would break down due to temperature. The absence of non-metallic locking elements makes this nut the best solution in harsh environments from low to high temperatures. It has also found its place in use in mechanical engineering, cargo transportation, crane assembly, or other assembly shops of enterprises in various fields.
