ISO 7434 is a set screw made in the form of a metal rod without a head, on one side of which there is a straight slot for screwing the screw with a screwdriver or power tool. The other end is pointed for easier screw installation.
Fastening group ISO 7434
ISO 7434 screws are divided into groups depending on their material of manufacture:
- Stainless steel fasteners
- Brass fasteners
Materials for the manufacture of ISO 7434 screws
ISO 7434 screws are made of the following materials:
- Steel, which can optionally be coated with zinc. Zinc protects against corrosion if the fastener is to be used in aggressive environments.
- Brass. Brass screws are used if the system is subjected to frequent dynamic, vibration, and cyclic loads.
- Stainless steel grades A1 and A4. Allows the use of fasteners at significant temperature changes and in aggressive and humid environments.
Areas of application for ISO 7434 screws
Setting screws of this type are widely used in construction and finishing works. They will be an excellent solution for assembling metal frame elements: the screws provide an invisible, strong connection. They can also be used in furniture production: the hidden installation of the screw does not violate the design solution and does not spoil the appearance of the finished furniture.
