DIN 127-A is a type of washer used to prevent self loosening of fasteners. Other names that you may encounter in everyday life are grover washer and grover.
Such washers come in two forms: form A and form B. A shape A washer is characterized by the fact that the ends of such a washer are curved (tilted down). Such washers have better adhesion to the surface, thereby counteracting self-screwing. They can also be used in environments with high vibrations or heavy loads.
Application: mechanical engineering, metal construction, solar energy, automotive industry.
