High-strength structural bolts (bolt sets) are a type of fasteners used to connect elements of critical structures and ensure the resistance of the components of these structures to loads. Structural bolts have an enlarged hexagonal head and are supplied in sets with a correspondingly enlarged structural nut and two washers. All elements of the set are marked HV (10.9) or HR (8.8/10.9). These are two systems of structural fasteners, the elements of which should not be mixed with each other so that the performance characteristics of the bolt sets are not impaired.

Applications where a pre-tensioned connection is required (preloaded connection), which is formed by tightening the set to the manufacturer's nominal tension values.
