DIN 435 Slant washer is a square slant washer that is installed under nuts or bolt heads for alignment purposes. It is a square-shaped product with a hole in the center and a groove on one side. In cross-section, the washer has different thicknesses, which is why it is called “oblique”. It is used as a part of bolted fasteners when connecting I-beams with a 14% slope.
DIN 435 fastener group
DIN 435 washers are most often made of stainless steel and belong to the stainless fastener group.
Materials for the manufacture of DIN 435 washers
DIN 435 washers are made of the following materials:
- Steel, which can optionally be coated with zinc and hot-dip galvanized.
- Stainless steel grades A2 and A4. Allows the fasteners to be used at significant temperature fluctuations and in aggressive and humid environments.
Application range of DIN 435 washers
The square oblique washer DIN 435 has a specific purpose, it is indispensable when it is necessary to align the planes of the parts to be joined. When used in conjunction with metric fasteners, it creates a stable assembly that strengthens the structure as a whole. This quality is used in the construction industry and in all branches of the mechanical engineering field.
DIN 435 is used to compensate for the angle of inclination and is placed under the bolt head or under the nut when mounting to the channel shelf. The angle of inclination is 14 degrees, has two parallel grooves or no grooves at all.
