Depending on the material of manufacture, wing nuts according to GOST 3032-76 are divided into groups:
- Brass fastener - fastener made of brass
- Stainless fasteners - nuts are made of stainless steel

DIN 315 is available in a variety of materials:
- Steel, which can optionally be coated with zinc

- Stainless steel grades A2 and A4, which also do not require coating.
