ISO 7094 Oversized washer is a fastener that has the form of a flat disk with a smooth cylindrical hole in the middle, the diameter of which is slightly larger than the diameter of the metric product with which it is used. The difference between R and V versions is in the hole: R - cylindrical hole, V - square hole.
ISO 7094 fastener group
Most often, ISO 7094 washers are made of stainless steel and belong to the stainless fastener group.
Materials for the manufacture of ISO 7094 washers
ISO 7094 is manufactured in the following materials:
- Steel, which is additionally coated with zinc. Zinc (Plated) protects against corrosion if the fastener is to be used in aggressive environments.
- Stainless steel A2 and A4. Allows the fasteners to be used at significant temperature changes and in aggressive and humid environments.
Applications for ISO 7094 washers
ISO 7094 is most often used in the installation of wooden structures, due to its ability to increase the clamping area. But it also finds its application in mechanical engineering and construction, where a strong bearing surface is required at the joint.
The ISO 7094 enlarged flat washer is used for the assembly of wooden structures. The washer has a standard round shape, but is characterized by an increased diameter. Due to the large pressing area, the load on the surface of the product is reduced, and the connection is prevented from loosening due to wear of the hole.
